By partnering with and purchasing from the brands involved in this campaign, we are not only offering support and fostering...

Creating a Culture of Recognition
5 words that can be spoken in a million different ways: “You’re doing a great job.” It’s simple, right? These small words; this simple acknowledgment. Sometimes these 5 words are what keep employees showing up each day. It’s fair to say that the power of feeling recognized is...

It's All About the Little Things
It seems like everything in life has taken on new meaning, and with it, a new appreciation for the little things that we might take for granted. Like home cooked meals, evening neighborhood walks, sleeping in, a good book, social distance park picnics…you name it. Try to take...
We’re feeling a little extra pep in our step right now because June is Pride Month! But don’t let that stop you from waving your rainbow flags all year round; at Canary, we’re all about Pride 365 days a year. While we’re always ready to sport some colorful rainbow themed swag, let’s not forget the importance of the Pride movement and proudly showing your true colors. Every June, the world joins together to recognize the struggles and achievements of the LGBTQ community and celebrate diversity, inclusion and accepting each other as we are. While most Pride parades and celebrations around the world have been canceled or postponed this year, that doesn’t mean the celebrating stops. Let’s use that extra energy we would have spent singing and dancing in the streets and put it towards being champions for the LGBTQ community. While society as a whole has come a long way since the birth of the gay rights movement, we’ve still got more milestones to hit for LGBTQ rights. And just like it’s important to celebrate diversity and inclusion in our communities, it’s also important to make sure we’re doing our part to ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace. Now one more time for the people in back… While the workforce is becoming more diverse – as a modern and progressive society – there’s still progress to be made. Despite some companies becoming more progressive, many LGBTQ employees still report high rates of discrimination at their workplace and it was reported that nearly 50% of LGBTQ Americans still don’t feel comfortable coming out at their work. We know just how important inclusion in a workplace is and we’ve always believed in celebrating people as they come with a welcoming environment that encourages being bold and being you. Whether you’re part of the LGBTQ community or an ally, we recognize that we all have a part to play in creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. Change happens when we hold each other and ourselves accountable. So, even though the parades may have stopped (for now) – let’s continue to do our part and keep the Pride momentum going. Put on those rainbow high socks, turn your speakers up, use your voice for social change and continue to come as you are 365 days a year.
